Welcome to SleepOnIt.ai — the overnight productivity engine for multitaskers. Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms: By creating an account, accessing, or using SleepOnIt.ai ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email.

2. Description of Service: SleepOnIt.ai is a productivity application that allows you to capture thoughts, ideas, tasks, and reminders throughout the day. Our AI-powered Overnight Processing Engine analyzes your inputs and delivers prioritized, actionable morning plans. The Service includes thought capture (text and image), overnight synthesis, web research, goal decomposition, and plan management. Features available to you depend on your subscription tier.

3. Accounts & Authentication: You must create an account to use the Service. You may sign in using third-party identity providers (such as Google or Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. SleepOnIt.ai is not liable for losses arising from unauthorized access to your account.

4. Subscription Tiers & Billing: The Service is offered in multiple subscription tiers: Basic (free), Starter, Pro, and Premium. Each tier provides different limits on daily thought capture, active projects, overnight processing frequency, history retention, and access to Premium Skill Buckets. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Pricing, features, and tier limits are subject to change with reasonable notice.

5. Payments & Refunds: Payments are processed through Stripe (web), Apple In-App Purchase (iOS), or Google Play Billing (Android), depending on your platform. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund eligibility is governed by the policies of the payment platform through which you subscribed (Apple, Google, or Stripe). We do not offer direct refunds for partially used billing periods.

6. AI Processing & Third-Party Services: Your captured thoughts are processed by artificial intelligence services, including Google Gemini and Amazon Bedrock (Nova), to generate plans, research summaries, and actionable steps. Image uploads are analyzed using Amazon Nova Lite to extract text and context. When you enable web research or Premium Skill Buckets, anonymized queries may be sent to external search and data APIs on your behalf. These queries do not contain your raw thoughts. AI-generated plans and research are provided for informational purposes and should not be treated as professional, legal, financial, or medical advice.

7. User Content & Ownership: You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including text thoughts, images, and voice recordings. By using the Service, you grant SleepOnIt.ai a limited license to process, store, and analyze your content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you. We do not use your personal thought data to train general-purpose AI models. Your content is never sold to or shared with third parties for their own purposes.

8. Acceptable Use: You agree not to use the Service to submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure. You may not use the Service to generate spam, conduct phishing, or engage in any activity that violates applicable law. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Data Retention & Deletion: Your thought history and plans are retained based on your subscription tier: 7 days (Basic), 30 days (Starter), 1 year (Pro), or 10 years (Premium). You may delete individual thoughts at any time. You may request full account deletion from within the app. Upon deletion, all personal data — including thoughts, plans, images, and account information — is permanently removed within 30 days. Downgrading your subscription tier may result in older data being removed in accordance with the new tier's retention limits.

10. Account Linking: If you sign in with different identity providers on different devices (e.g., Apple Sign-In on iOS and Google Sign-In on the web), you may link your accounts using a temporary code generated within the app. Linked accounts share subscription status and data. You are responsible for only linking accounts that belong to you.

11. Intellectual Property: The Service, including its design, code, AI processing pipelines, Skill Buckets, and branding, is the intellectual property of SleepOnIt.ai. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service. "SleepOnIt.ai," the SleepOnIt logo, and related marks are trademarks of SleepOnIt.ai.

12. Limitation of Liability: The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SleepOnIt.ai does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated content, research, or plans. We are not liable for decisions made based on the Service's output. In no event shall SleepOnIt.ai be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Service Availability: We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Overnight processing is designed to complete before your scheduled wake-up time, but processing times may vary based on system load and the complexity of your inputs. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, updates, or modifications to the Service at any time.

14. Termination: You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

15. Governing Law: These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
